The Rohrbach Library is pleased to announce their new partnership with Swank Motion Pictures, the nontheatrical distributor for the majority of the major Hollywood studios as well as many independent, foreign, art house, and documentary offerings. They are the largest repository of digital film content to complement various types of curriculum.
With the library’s 70-title license, Kutztown faculty members are now able to request any film that can be found on the Swank Digital Campus platform. These films will be made available to share via email, D2L, or post on a blog/website.
Students can access these films here or by searching under “S” on the library’s database website. By using KU credentials to log in, all current KU students, staff, and faculty can legally view these films in class or individually. Browsers may require a plugin installation. For smart phone and tablet users, the Swank Media Player App (for both iPhone and Android) is also available.
Starting February 1st until June 30th 2016, the Pennsylvania Academic Library Consortium, Inc. (PALCI) will be providing Rohrbach Library users access to the 300 most requested Swank Motion Pictures titles. This is in addition to the 70-title license that Kutztown purchased. There will be more information to follow.
