Plain People, Rich Cultures

by Jessica Reppert

Kutztown University welcomes the James Weaver & Benuel Riehl Anabaptist Lecture Series to campus! This event creates a chance for non-Plain people to further their understanding of the neighbors, and vice versa.

Plain People, Rich Cultures: Session 2 – Comparing the Old Orders

  • Date: February 22, 2012
  • Time: 5:00 pm
  • Place: Academic Forum, Room 200

All are welcome — students, faculty, staff, administration, and the community. It is kindly requested that no photographs be taken of the speakers themselves please due to their beliefs not permitting so.

Mr. Weaver is a local Wenger Mennonite who spoke at Rohrbach last year and Mr. Riehl is a local Amishman. You can find more information on the Mennonite and Amish cultures in the library LibGuides.

The Anabaptist Lecture series is sponsored by the Pennsylvania German Cultural Club, Rohrbach Library, and the late Dr. Arnold Newman, in partnership with the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center at Kutztown University
