Sir Winston Churchill was probably best known as a British politician who is noted for his leadership during World War II. He served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 940 to 1945, and 1951 to 1955. Aside from his political prowess, Churchill was also a noted orator, soldier, historian, Nobel Prize winning author and artist.
