Do your students go to Google first for research? Are you concerned about the resources that they are using? Learn ways to insure that your students are using the best resources for their research. This program will feature a nationally recognized expert on accomplishing this and a moderated panel discussion with KU faculty members who are doing this.

Moderator/Keynote Speaker: Dr. Marjorie Warmkessel
Dr. Warmkessel is a nationally recognized expert on integrating information literacy skills into the classroom. She advises the Middle States Commission on Higher Education on issues related to information literacy and was one of the authors of “Developing Research & Communication Skills: Guidelines for Information Literacy in the Curriculum.” This booklet outlines the new information literacy standards and provides practical advice to institutions on meeting these standards. She is Director of the Center for Academic Excellence at Millersville University and the Coordinator of Public Services at the Ganser Library.
